Ciao, Silvio!
We wanted to write and thank you for your excellent service when we visited Rome May 16-18-2008.   Both Andy & I were immensely impressed by the depth of your historical and archaeological knowledge of Rome as well as other parts of the world.  We particularly appreciated how easily your maneuvered through crowds, lines, and other obstacles to give us the best views, inside information, and experiences.  Something you said to me when I moaned, "I just can't take it all in," really helped.  You replied, "Just relax and enjoy it.  It will come back to you."  You were right about that.  When I let go of trying to remember everything, my experience was enhanced, and my memory clearer.  Of course, there are many moments I can't quite capture, but the impressions are lucid.
We have praised you to our relatives and friends (and even folks we met on our cruise)...and our travel agent...because you gave us such beautiful memories and useful information.  You are a Rome treasure!!!!
We hope you have a good summer with each guests to guide...and time to see your girlfriend as frequently as possible.
Thanks again,
Carol Pope & Andy Overstreet

Dear Silvio:
Grazie for making our brief trip to Rome so special and memorable.  You gave us an appreciation of the history and beauty of Rome which would be impossible to find on our own on such a short visit.  We especially valued your sharing with us your love of the city, your expertise, and your views on contemporary culture, history and life in general.  This is what transforms “tourism” into a rich experience of another country.  We are very grateful.

Our one regret is that the lady at the restaurant who took the picture of us did not click the button.  We got no picture! What a disappointment. Our stories of our wonderful trip to Rome will be incomplete without a photo of our fantastic guide wearing his “cashmerino”.
Perhaps you'll add a photo to your web site as it develops. Shortly, we'll be sending you our comments on your web site. We are still going through our mail, laundry and paying bills.

Ciao, Silvio!
We're back and settled in Toronto, after a fantastic few weeks in Italy!  I wanted to thank you again for a wonderful two days in Rome -- we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and learned so much about the history of your city.  I can't tell you how worthwhile that experience has been for both Lauren and myself.  You are a wonderful guide!  That said, I promised to write a testimonial for your web site.  Here it is:

If you plan to visit Rome, don't hesitate to book Silvio Guide to guide you through this city's wealth of history.  The remains of past centuries are on display at every turn, and it's a missed opportunity to explore without an interpretation. Silvio is a charismatic guide not only completely versed in all things Roman, but also passionate about everything you want to see and do in his home town.  He wants you to know the real Rome, and will go out of his way to make this happen.  My daughter and I were able to spend two days with Silvio this past May, and he was worth every penny!  He made ancient Roman history come alive for us.  We could actually hear the roar of the crowd in the Coliseum, and imagine the thrill of chariot races at Circus Maximus.  He also introduced us to authentic Roman restaurants, where we sampled local delicacies and were treated like family.  The plain truth is that Silvio Guide will spoil you for any other guide!

This client had Silvio in Rome as a private guide for the afternoon of May 25th. They thoroughly enjoyed being with him and all of the information that he imparted was fantastic. Please pass on my thanks. They sensed his pride in and love for the Eternal City and it made them appreciate it all so much more. Thank you for making experiences like this possible.

Silvio,
I just wanted to drop a quick note and thank you again for guiding my parents for the day in Rome.  They had a FABULOUS time and had nothing but great things to say about you.  My dad is a tough audience for historical things, but he confessed to have been deeply impressed by Rome and the things you told him.  He even remembers most of it as they show us the pictures!  Thanks again and good luck ...

Hi Silvio -  I may be slow!!!! But I did not forget.  Here are two pictures of you from our wonderful day with you last year in Rome.  We were in your tour group from the Emerald Princess.  We visited St. Peter in the Chains, the Forum, the Coliseum, and St. Peter’s. We thoroughly enjoyed your comments – at first I thought you might be a bit “postmodern” in your approach but enjoyed your theme of “recycling.”  Many thanks for a great day and years of wonderful memories for us.

Silvio,
You gave us your card on Sunday when your tour group went inside the colosseum. We enjoyed the tour very much, you seemed very knowledgeable like a university professor. We are hoping to visit the Vatican on tuesday or wednesday, and would like to join your group if you are guiding a tour there.
Thanks very much.

Hi Silvio,
We were on your tour of the Roman forum and St. Peters Basillica on Sunday 9th September.

We just wanted to thank you for an excellent and informative day. It was very good to have a guide who obviously has a passion for what he is talking about and it makes it far more interesting for the listener.

You should have your own TV programme on BBC TV..we would certainly watch it

All the best for the future..
